Jonathan Friedman

Jonathan leads cross-sell efforts and tailored client solutions for Anthesis’ ESG Advisory Team across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He is also Anthesis’ global finance sector lead, overseeing our offering to clients in that sector.

Over the past two decades, Jonathan has been a trusted advisor to multinational corporations, investors, and government policymakers on sustainability, human rights, new market entry, political, financial crime, and regulatory topics.

Before joining Anthesis, Jonathan co-founded Wallbrook, an M&A due diligence, anti-corruption and human rights consultancy, which merged with Anthesis. He was also a director at Stroz Friedberg, a private equity-backed risk consultancy that was sold to Aon plc.

Jonathan began his career on Capitol Hill, working for then-senator Joe Biden. He has also been a commentator on geopolitics in print and broadcast media, including for the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.

Jonathan holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics, and also studied at Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. He is ranked as a leading ESG advisor by Chambers & Partners.
