James runs Anthesis’ ESG Advisory and Reporting business. He oversees nearly 300 professionals across the Americas, EMEA and Asia, supporting our global client base across M&A transactions, business intelligence, sustainability strategy and programme management, and reporting.
For two decades, James has built, scaled and sold people businesses, participating in four successful exits. He joined Anthesis following the sale of Wallbrook, a global ESG consultancy and B-Corp, which he co-founded, specialising in M&A due diligence, corruption risk management and human rights. He previously was Managing Director at Stroz Friedberg, a private equity-based risk consultancy where he ran their global due diligence practice, and participated in its sale to Aon Plc.
James holds a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Cambridge and a first-class bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Exeter. He is ranked Band 2 by Chambers and Partners for Investigative Due Diligence.
