The Situation
A large media and technology company with a complex, global, and disparate supplier based has engaged Anthesis for support in setting and achieving a net zero commitment with a near-term supplier engagement target.
Anthesis has maintained an ongoing partnership with this organisation since 2016, expanding into supply chain work to drive progress toward validated science-based targets (SBTs) and value chain emissions reductions.
Our Solutions
Anthesis works with the company to provide an ongoing, holistic approach to supplier engagement through various actions.
In order to ensure success, we supported the development of an engagement strategy and data management plan with cross-functional internal buy-in across teams and key stakeholders. Additionally, we helped to create and distribute surveys to suppliers, and assessed the responses to prioritize the highest impact areas.
Currently, we are conducting training at both an individual supplier and larger group levels. These cover a variety of topics from GHG accounting to setting SBTs and help improve supplier climate maturity.

Through a highly collaborative and ongoing relationship, the supplier engagement program has resulted in two years of comprehensive supplier data for tracking and reporting progress. The quality of this data is directly related to enthusiastic supplier participation and strong response rates.
