Conducting EU Taxonomy Eligibility Assessment for Prisa

The Situation

Anthesis was appointed by Prisa, a Spanish media conglomerate, to conduct an eligibility assessment to determine Prisa’s alignment to the EU Taxonomy.

Anthesis delivered an eligibility and alignment report which identified eligible activities from the Taxonomy Climate Delegated Act. Anthesis provided further regulatory advisory by conducting a second assessment of Prisa’s alignment to the activities derived from the four new delegated acts, namely:

  • Protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems.
  • Sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources;
  • Transition to a circular economy;
  • Pollution prevention and control;

Following our instruction, Prisa received a complete EU Taxonomy assessment report which included the eligibility review, analysis of our minimum safeguards assessment as well as an overview of the financial KPIs associated with the taxonomy-eligible and aligned economic activities. The report was assured by a third-party verifier.
