ByggVesta has a clear focus on sustainability and uses the UN’s Global Sustainability Goals as a guide in its work. ​

The challenge for the developer was to have an overarching approach to sustainability and ensure this aligned with local planning requirements. ​

The project with ByggVesta has included external monitoring, strategic advice and policy development for its overarching portfolio. ​

The project with ByggVesta involved a research analysis, strategic advisory and policy development to support ByggVesta in developing a new strategy in relation to reduced climate impact from its developments. ​

As part of this project Anthesis also looked at ByggVestas’s building process in comparison to the planning requirements for Stockholm to identify any discrepancies or opportunities for further alignment. ​

Anthesis had also provided internal and external communication support related to the development of new strategies and business models for its housing developments.​

Impacts of the Project

The developed of the climate impact strategy has enabled ByggVesta to have a better overarching approach to sustainability across its portfolio. ​

It also gave the company an understanding of how its processes and methods align with local planning requirements and what the opportunities within this are.
