Home – Case Studies – Assessing Value Chains in the Pharmaceutical Sector
The Situation
On behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company, we conducted assessments of the integrity, human rights and labour rights risks associated with their local distributors in high-risk markets, including Nicaragua, Cuba, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Our Solutions
We analysed each country’s human rights landscape and sectoral risks such as the distribution of counterfeit medicines for each distributor in the company’s value chain. We also evaluated the company’s labour rights track record.
Impacts of the Project
Our findings allowed our client to minimise their exposure to human rights risks within their business relationships.
