Mia is an environmental policy advocate with a double major in Law and Society, and Political Science and International Relations. After completing her studies, she lived and worked in Norway, at ZERO, Norway’s leading climate change NGO. With ZERO, Mia contributed to the annual climate change conference where she liaised with leaders in green business and industry, environmental NGOs and political representatives to bring forward cutting-edge green systems, technology and policy. After returning to Australia, Mia was endorsed by the Greens Party to run as a candidate in the WA 2021 state elections. Mia spearheaded a public campaign with a focus on stronger environmental protections, a transition to a renewable energy economy and anti-corruption. Mia supports the nature-based solutions team on carbon projects and nature and biodiversity assessments.
