On behalf of a private equity firm, we designed and delivered awareness-raising training on human rights for procurement and ESG managers from their 30+ portfolio companies.
Solution
We began by outlining the regulatory landscape on human rights due diligence before diving into practical steps to conduct it, drawing connections between the UNGPs and regulatory requirements. We then outlined reporting requirements and discussed some examples of best practices from different sectors.
Impact
The procurement managers finished the training with a clearer understanding of their responsibility to address human rights risks in the supply chain, supporting the private equity firm’s management of human rights risks in its portfolio.
