A global technology company leveraged our Human Rights Risk & Impact Assessment services to complete dozens of country-level and sector-level human rights risk assessments to identify human rights risks linked to their operations, including in Iraq, Sudan, Mali and Turkey.
Solution
We assessed human rights risks relating to freedom of expression, data privacy and security, surveillance and freedom from discrimination. We interviewed internal teams and, among others, local human rights campaigners and anti-hate speech activists to understand how the client’s platform is used in each market.
