Inside this podcast

Philipp draws from one personal experience in particular that profoundly impacted how his family reacts to crises. The story traces how social activism was born from a personal crisis while living in Kuwait, resulting in the co-founding of Project 189, an NGO focused on migrant worker rights in the Middle East. In recognition of his work, he has been awarded the Japanese Ritsumeikan Award Gold in 2013 for contributions to freedom, peace and humanity, and, as co-founder of Project 189, was a finalist for the global Nelson Mandela Walk Together Prize.
